Mike Anders and Jim Upward started Colorit in February 2008 Mike’s background is Glass from the age of 15 starting his Apprenticeship. After working for other companies he started his own company Mike’s Glass Ltd. This grew into other companies with nationwide contracts with NZ Largest insurer IAG NZ. After 23 years Mike needed a change and wanted to deal at the coalface again. Jim had his own computer company and had run this for 30 years with a national contract with IAG NZ. This is where Mike and Jim first meet after talking for a year they decided to go into business together manufacturing Splashbacks. As they say the customer is always right and with a can do attitude the jobs are made to every customers need.

Product testing

Below is a summary of a series of independent tests carried out on glass panels coated with the Graphic Glass coating System. A full copy of the tests documents and results are available from our office.

A series of tests were carried out on coated glass panels to assess the quality of the coating. The panels were coated one side only with a 65% gloss. Air Dry System Colours submitted were Red, Black, White and Yellow, as representative, and where elevated temperatures were used in the test programme, toughened glass was provided.
